Electronic waste is has been a serious concern for a few decades.  This waste is usually horded by countries in hopes that they will be able to extract the precious elements from it.  The cost for doing so is usually too high for most; be it human life because of the toxicity of the waste or the monetary cost of extracting the target elements.
