Mouth Shields

This was a project where we were tasked at creating a heavy base for which a special refractory could be  poured onto.  This was a shield to protect the mouth of a furnace.  This was a prototype that was fabricated from 2"(50.8mm) carbon steel with 3/4"(19mm) 310SS hex mesh.  The banding was the sacrificial carbon steel form.  We were only tasked with the fabrication portion of this project.
